But as I was on the train (boy it was a pretty long five hour ride), it was anything but arduous. My mind was filled with so many pretty images, it could hardly be contained. Cottages in the forests whizzed past, the farms, the vast patches of snow-frosted grassland, and among them all, I chose this particular shot because it made me felt like this trip is only going to get better, more beautiful, more picturesque. The train tickets were not exactly cheap (I think by air it might be cheaper) but boy, you'll miss out so much if you choose to travel in an aluminum sausage ;)
This was a 'kodak' moment and all this while that I stole the shot on the train, this song played itself over and again in my head; and it still lingers:
The colours of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky
are also of the faces... of people going by
I can see friends shaking hands,
saying 'how do you do'
they are really saying, 'I love you'.
I hear babies crying, I watch them grow
They'll learn much more, than I ever know
And I think to myself...what a wonderful world.
The world is wonderful, in unfathomable ways that often seemed so imperceptible in our hurrying ways, we overlooked beauty and warmth, in the same way that we forget from time to time, who we are and what we want in our lives.
